Kazuya learns from a friend named Kibe that there is something wrong with Kuribayashi in Rent-a-Girlfriend Episode 10. The episode is titled Friend’s Girlfriend.

The official website released the synopsis and trailer for Rent-a-Girlfriend Episode 10 hinting Kazuya begging Ruka to keep their arrangement a secret from others.

Meanwhile, the synopsis teases Kazuya wonders how he wants to spend his salary from a part-time job. In the previous instalment it is showcased Kazuya started working in a karaoke café.

The synopsis mentions that while thinking about the money, Kazuya remembers his friend, Shun Kuribayashi. Kibe informs Kazuya that there is something amiss with Kuribayashi.

He finds out that Kuribayashi has taken to Twitter to vent about his feeling for women. Kazuya decides to not call his friend.

However, the next day, he is waiting for him.

“What did your fortune say, Chizuru-san? That’s a secret. Did it say, ‘You will fall for a college student who rented a girlfriend after being dumped?!’ That would be the worst fortune possible. I don’t know why, but I hurt inside. I will make that pain go away, just put on a blindfold again,” reads the preview for the upcoming episode

Meanwhile, the last episode starts off with Kazuya working in an establishment called Karaoke Village. Later, he is happy to receive a present from Chizuru. He thinks he is the only guy in history to get a gift from a rental girlfriend. He feels he is someone special for her. It is a small one, but he believes he built a connection with her.

Later, he meets Chizuru and she tells her that it is perfectly normal for a girlfriend to give her clients gifts. She adds that it is agency policy to pamper the clients with gifts. It is indeed a rude shock for Kazuya that he is not special for Chizuru.

Rent-a-Girlfriend episodes air every Friday. The episodes are streaming on Crunchyroll. The installments are available in Japanese with English subtitles.
