The Hunger Games novel has been brought to the big screen from books for over eight years now and the on-screen lead characters Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson are close to each other even off-screen.

Fans and followers are always looking forward to watching the three lead together either in movies or real life. Hutcherson opened up with Katie Krause during an interview to talk about the popular franchise and spoke about online streaming platforms that have received a lot of attention during the pandemic.

The 27-year-old star mentioned the Tubi platform, which is a Fox Corporation based in San Francisco, and revealed his excitement as the prequel of Hunger Games will stream online. The disclosed having dinner with Lawrence during the quarantine period when the reporter asked about staying in touch with the Hunger Games cast.

“It was like mid-summer maybe [and] we had a nice socially-distanced dinner together. [It] was good to catch up with her because she's been off living her life in other places all over the world,” he explained. He revealed meeting Hemsworth at the end of 2019 before he left for Australia.

The GLAAD Vanguard Award winner further said that they usually hang around with each other whenever possible. He also mentioned Woody Harrelson and revealed that they met sometime back. According to Hutcherson, whenever the cast members come across one another it doesn't matter after how long they have been meeting, they instantly connect.

Hutcherson spoke about how it feels to be a part of the blockbuster project and tasting success for the first time with Suzanne Collins' book that was originally written back in 2008. The actor explained, that even before they started to shoot the movie, there was already an event held in Los Angeles for fans of the book.

The event consists of all the lead actors and Hutcherson recalled looking outside the window to see the fans of the book. The actor revealed that it was surprising because the fans at the moment had no idea if the movie is going to be a success or maybe they might not like the actors portraying their favorite characters.

However, he acknowledged the love fans had for the show which led them to the event and eventually helped the movie becoming such a huge success at the box office. That was the first time the actor realized stepping into a new world.
