Reports have it that Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian will be seen on the judges’ chairs for American Idol’s new season. Read on to know the complete story!

American Idol has been one of television’s most popular singing talent competitions, which is being aired for around two decades. Speculations are rife that Swift may replace her arch-rival Katy Perry as a judge on the show. Even the beauty mogul is rumored to judge the upcoming season of the reality show. 

Rumor mills had it that the KKW founder used her contacts with Ryan Seacrest, the show’s host, to arrange a meeting for Kanye West with the series’ executives in 2017. However, it seems things did not go smoothly with the hip hop star.

An insider told a magazine that West was not okay with doing all the publicity trips the show required its judges to do. The source added that the rapper also to have a final say on the contestants whom he would like to mentor. The network rejected both his requests. 

Several sources close to the people concerned insisted that there was no proof of the rapper negotiating with the executives of American Idol to be a judge on the show, Gossip Cop reports. The publication feels that it was an incorrect rumor from the beginning.

It is ridiculous that a musician of Kanye West’s caliber would require his wife’s assistance to connect to the show’s executives. 

A gossip blog claimed that Taylor Swift could replace Katy Perry, who is a veteran judge of the show. The blog contended that the ABC executives were not pleased with Perry’s performance on the show. Unnamed sources mentioned that the executives of American Idol want to fire the songstress. 

The so-called tipster further said instead of asking the Firework artist to accept a pay reduction, she might be replaced on the show’s next season. One name that has popped up to replace Perry is none other than Swift. 

However, when a representative for Perry was contacted, it was intimated that ABC is overjoyed with this season’s American Idol. A spokesperson of the singer said that the claim was fabricated and entirely incorrect. 

Meanwhile, as mentioned earlier, even Kim Kardashian’s name is doing rounds for the upcoming season of the music show. Rumors have it that her good friend Ryan Seacrest who is also the EP for Keeping Up with the Kardashians is lobbying for her so that she can be a judge on the show, NAUGHTY Gossip Reports. 

A highly suspicious source claimed Seacrest feels his pal Kardashian should be hired by the show. After all, social media and promotion play a crucial role to make a singer successful, according to the same source.

As of date, there is no confirmation on whether Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift will be seen as judges on the upcoming season of American Idol or not.
