Tom Cruise’s Death-Defying Motorcycle Stunt Revealed For ‘Mission Impossible 7’
Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise has resumed his shooting for the film Mission Impossible 7 with a big and terrifying motorcycle stunt.
The most recent installment of the action franchise was stalled at the beginning of this year amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the film’s production has resumed now.
This could be Cruise’s most terrifying stunt ever performed in any of his films. The Hollywood superstar is famous for doing his stunts in all his films. A clip featuring a guy, who is likely to be Cruise is shown riding off a motorbike on the film’s sets has gone viral on the web.
The action movie star can be seen riding a bike and then falling off a ramp before opening his parachute and then gliding down to the ground from a height, Hello! Magazine reports. NGTV, a Norwegian media company has shot the clip. Zach Maciel shared the footage on Twitter.
Netizens are stunned by this amazing stunt and many could not resist commenting on this incredible clip. One of them mentioned that he salutes the actor for the way he carries a majority of the stunts by himself.
Another fan wrote he thinks it was a “mind-blowing” stunt performed by Tom Cruise. A third follower felt Cruise is not like many other actors who do not perform their stunts in their films. The netizen regards the Mission Impossible star as the “best actor/stuntman of all time.”
Meanwhile, the Top Gun star was snapped shooting a similar action sequence in the United Kingdom in August this year. The stunt, reportedly, cost around £2 million. Reports had it that there could be a delay in the production of the film after the bike of a stuntman exploded while shooting an action scene.
However, it seems that all these terrifying stunts will be peanuts when compared to what the superstar will be doing soon. It was divulged that the actor is working with NASA so that the first film can be filmed in space.
A spokesperson of NASA has mentioned that they will reveal more details about the high-profile project at a more suitable time. Jim Bridenstine, a NASA Administrator took to Twitter and mentioned that NASA is thrilled to work with the actor in a movie, which is likely to be filmed at the Space Station.
Christopher McQuarrie, the director of Mission Impossible 7 shared a picture from the first day’s filming of the movie. The photo showed a person (most probably Cruise) standing at the top of a tall ramp amid snow-capped mountains.
Meanwhile, apart from Mission Impossible 7, Tom Cruise is also waiting for the release of Top Gun: Maverick, a sequel of Top Gun, Indian Express reports.
