Prince Philip Reveals ‘Brutal’ Opinion On Charles And Camilla’s Affair In Letters To Diana – ‘Silly To Risk Everything’
Prince Philip’s life has been one shrouded mystery. As the husband of the Queen of England, he was mostly seen as a close confidante to Her Majesty. Their love has also been one of the rare ones in royal history, both came from a prestigious family. As many know, Prince Philip gave up his title of Prince of Greece to be able to marry Elizabeth, a sacrifice not undermined by Queen Elizabeth.
A new biography written by Ingrid Seward will be released in October. Ms. Seward writes about Prince Philips' career in the Royal institution.
The Prince retired from his public affairs as Duke of Edinburgh last 2017 at the age of 94, he has since given his responsibilities to his youngest son, Prince Edward.
In an exclusive release by Mail, Ingrid Seward opened up some of the topics she wrote about the Prince. One was his opinion on Charles’ affair with Camilla and his very close relationship with the late Princess Diana, Charles' first wife.
According to Seward, Prince Philip had a very personal relationship with Princess Diana, and that Princess called Philip lovingly as ‘Pa’. It is believed that Prince Philip was one of the few people inside the palace that helped Princess Diana navigate the royal life.
Seward also claims that Prince Philip was strongly against Charles' affair with Camilla. It has been like that since Charles’ confession to his father that he was in love with Camilla back when he was a young man.
Diana, as a noble blood herself was to Prince Philip, the perfect wife for Prince Charles.
In Seward’s exclusive peek at her book on the Mail, she wrote, "Signing himself ‘Pa’, Philip wrote that Charles ‘was silly to risk everything with Camilla’. He continued: ‘We never dreamed he might feel like leaving you for her. I cannot imagine anyone in their right mind leaving you for Camilla. Such a prospect never entered our heads.’
The death of Princess Diana broke the royal family into pieces, the British citizen believes that Prince Charles’ sordid affair with Camilla was the reason for the late Princess’ death.
Charles and Camilla were only married almost 9 years after the death of Princess Diana, at this time, it was said that Prince Philip no longer wanted to be involved in his son’s business. His marriage, although celebrated by some was heavily criticized.
The biography of Prince Philip will be released on October and will highlight the life and decade long career the Prince served for the Crown.
