Absence Of Veteran Support Means Donald Trump's Victory Unlikely
The clan of veterans and active military servicemen must not be very pleased with Donald Trump after the emergence of allegations that he disparaged dead war soldiers. This unpopularity among veterans has turned out to be Trump’s major problem for the 2020 presidential elections.
According to the latest report, Trump’s approval ratings from active military members is only 37 percent as against his presidential opponent Joe Biden’s 43 percent. There are multiple reasons that contribute to the adversity for Trump besides his alleged comments.
Trump has historically been the military’s least favorite. Even during the 2016’s presidential election against Hillary Clinton, polls showed that military servicemen didn’t favor him over Clinton.
Now, the same is getting an extension in a way - and if it carries on, Trump may not make it again to the White House.
The support of military members and veterans is very crucial for Trump at this moment. Active military and veterans make up 12 % of the entire voter population that will have a significant impact on the election results.
As the clock is ticking, it is getting more important for Trump to gain the support of everybody possible. However, that doesn’t seem likely as major news publishing houses have also confirmed the news that Trump insulted dead troops. Some of them include CNN, the Associated Press, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and even Fox News.
The confirmation from Fox News has given President his worst blow. Fox News is widely considered to be a pro-Trump news channel that shares opinions and thoughts majorly in favor of the President.
Trump furiously denied all the claims and especially tweeted to invoke the firing of the Fox News reporter who made the confirmation that Trump really called dead troops “losers” and “suckers.”
Biden has hit out at Trump for disregarding dead troops. Not only Biden, but the entire Democratic party is seemingly taking aim at Trump for the rumors of being insensitive.
What’s important to see is how Trump bounces back to gain the trust of veteran-voters. The path is tough because – history suggests every time he makes some progress. On the other hand, Biden has reaffirmed his grip on the campaigns and the dynamic situations are turning in his favor one more time.
November 3 will decide who and how the answers will be given to all the questions that experts and citizens of the country have about the reorientation of country's motto.
