With every new project of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Tom Cruise has taken his performance up a notch, especially in the category of stunts. That is exactly what Tom appears to be doing with the seventh installment of the series, Mission: Impossible 7.

MI7 director Christopher McQuarrie posted an image on his Instagram account that shows a makeshift track set among sky-high mountains. The path is constructed upon multiple stories of scaffolding that seems to end into nothingness – the ramp arches upwards towards the snow-capped mountains and disappears abruptly. That’s not all about it, the image also features a daring man standing on the track.

Though the identity of the man can’t be recognized due to the distance from which the picture has been taken, there is a strong likelihood that it’s no one other than Tom Cruise himself who is world-popular for being a crazy sucker for stunts and adventure of this exceptional levels.

The accompanying video is even fierier escalating the expectations of fans to an another-level high. The post caption reads, “Action #MI7 Day 1" which is an indication the cameras have begun rolling for the movie.

Aside from MI7, the second installment of Tom Cruise’s blockbuster film Top Gun is slated to hit cinema houses next year.  According to recent reports, Tom has already started the shoot for Top Gun part 2. The production with Top Gun started a little later than it was originally scheduled. It’s little because Tom is very occupied lately, and more because of other external factors.  

The production of MI7 was significantly delayed due to the pandemic and other unlucky reasons. That’s past, now it’s cheering for all the MI enthusiasts to see their favorite actor back for one of his most prolific projects.

Still, it’s going to be a pretty long haul for all the contributors and waiters. Following the delays, the film is tentatively scheduled to be released in the November of 2022.

In the meantime, the actor stepped out to watch Christopher Nolan’s Tenet in the theatre which he praised in abundance. Tom's move spurred up the talks about Tom’s upcoming projects and of course, MI7 is what everybody is most eagerly waiting for.

Considering the set and what observers have to say, it’s not wrong to expect another blast in the franchise. Tom Cruise seems all set to deliver his most ambitious and adventuresome performance with MI7. It's a long uncomfortable wait and 2022 holds the answer.
