Taylor Swift's latest released music album, Folklore that created a new record by resting on number one position after 6 weeks of its launch. The 30-year-old singer's album successfully spent six weeks back to back at the top of the Billboard Top 200 chart.

The singer has been breaking and creating many more records with an eighth studio album. The album took over Drake's most viewed record, which was set in 2016 along with settling in the same position with Whitney Houston.

The I Look to You star had the record of staying at No. 1 position for most weeks among female singers. Swift created her latest album during the lockdown period of pandemic and surprised her fans with 16 songs.

Folklore consists of a wide range of songs that has chamber pop sounds, electro-folk, alternative rock, and indie-folk. The National fame Aaron Dessner and Bleachers star Jack Antonoff produced the latest album.

"In isolation, my imagination has run wild and this album is the result. I’ve told these stories to the best of my ability with all the love, wonder, and whimsy they deserve," Swift tweeted as she dropped the album's link on July 24.

Folklore streamed on Spotify for over 80 million times in one day after its release. This record led the music album to earn a spot in Guinness World Record for garnering a huge opening by a female singer on the music streaming platform.

Furthermore, Folklore set a new score by selling 846,000 albums and becoming the best seller of the year within a week. The singer also turned out to be the only female artist who has released seven albums back to back and debuted on the number one spot.

Besides her music, the multi-talented star also won the Best Direction award at MTV Video Music Awards in 2020. This award was honored for her work on The Man song’s behind the scenes work while other nominees in the same category included The Weeknd, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, and Billie Eilish.

It seems the 2020 summer has been grand for the singer and songwriter in many different ways. However, the singer shared earlier that her original plan was to celebrate her 2019's album, Lover all around the globe.

Although due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the plans are postponed but not canceled. While some artists utilized their time to spend with family or try something new, Swift decided to sharpen her skills more and released the record-breaking album.
