Are Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty broken up? Fans believe the worst when they saw she changed her social media handles, dropping “Mrs. Petty” from her personal profiles.

The fans are not just assuming the worst though; they are real reasons to be concerned. After all, the quite vocal and outspoken rapper had been radio silent about her life with new husband Kenneth Petty after he was arrested for not registering first as a sex offender in Los Angeles.

He had since appeared in federal court, but Minaj remains quiet.

Her dropping “Mrs. Petty” from both her Twitter and Instagram and then replacing this with her latest single “Yikes” naturally unnerved her fans. 

Kenneth appeared before a federal judge before a lockdown has been imposed by the government. On March 4, he pleaded not guilty to the offense. Consequently, he was instructed to do many things -wear an ankle monitor, never to leave the South Californian area, give up his passport, and observe a personal curfew imposed. He was prohibited from using any form of drugs, even those that are legal. the LAPD took his mugshot that day.

Just around a month before, Kenneth and Nicki went on a trip to Trinidad. Kenneth appeared on Nicki’s Instagram on February 27, 2020, where the rapper can be seen in an over-the-top glamorous outfit - skimpy and with feathers. Very Minaj. In the photo, Minaj was in Kenneth’s arms. Interestingly, Minaj disabled all the comments. Just a day before this, Minaj shared a video to her IG account holding his hand while both of them enter a DJ’s booth. She captioned the photo with a very loving message, by all means. “And I love you. Anyone with an issue can kindly suck a d**k w|2 b*lls on the side.” 

Again, no one could comment on it if they wanted to.

Ever since Perry’s arrest, it was noticeable how Minaj just became closed off. She did not have any activity on her Twitter and Instagram nor made an episode of her Queen Radio podcast. A split, however, was not denied nor confirmed despite all these worrying signs.

This changing of social media handles is the biggest sign yet. But this still does not confirm anything.

Fans cannot help but ask though because they would rather know from her herself. One user asked, “what’s tea, nicki?” Another said she’s praying for the “beautiful queen of rap” and her husband. One even said that if they have truly broken up, this is good for Minaj since Petty was ruining her brand.
