The official promo trailer for One Piece Episode 940 is out and it showcases what is happening in Ebisu Town.

Tonoyasu passes away and entrusts the future of the Land of Wano's in the hand of the Straw Hats. Meanwhile, the people of Ebisu Town behave rather awkwardly and Zoro finds there is a problem. He sees them laughing hysterically in Zoro’s Fury! The Truth About the Smile! It will be interesting to see Zoro unravel the mysterious laughing episodes of the people.

In the previous episode of the anime, people across the village find out about Tonoyasu’s upcoming execution. Zoro, Toko and the others learn about this bad news and Toko gets the shock of her life. She starts laughing maniacally.

Later, she tells Zoro that Tonoyasu is her father. In the meantime, Orochi is informed that when he comes, Tonoyasu will be executed in front of him and the others. The people of Flower Capital are mourning the death of Komurasaki. As the guards take her body, people gather on the roadside to pay their respects.

The guards tell the people that she rebelled against Orochi and they will cremate her at the Prisoners’ Quarters in Rasetsu Town.

Elsewhere, at Udon, Luffy comes to know about Tonoyasu’s execution. The Queen, too, is grieving the death of Tomurasaki and he finds out that her body is being transported as they speak.

Watch One Piece Episode 940 online via live streaming on Crunchyroll. The new episode is scheduled to hit the airwaves on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020. The episodes are currently available in Japanese with English subtitles.
