Ray Fisher Slammed By Warner Bros. In Public For Not Cooperating
Warner Bros. is not known for publicly slamming their own stars. However, this time thing got serious when the studio took a public domain to inform that the Ray Fisher isn't cooperating with producers Jon Berg and Geoff Johns along with filmmaker Joss Whedon.
During the ongoing misconduct investigation, the Justice League star has been accused by the studio itself in the statement released on Sept. 4, which was backed by Walter Hamada, president of DC Films. Fisher portrayed Cyborg's character in an action and adventure drama released in 2017.
The 32-year-old actor has been alleged for misconduct on the set. However, the actor didn't reveal the detailed information of the misconduct but the studio took a decision to begin an investigation on the allegations.
Fisher took Twitter to reveal that Hamada tried to throw the producers "under the bus" with the impression that the actor would back down on Geoff Johns. Johns is a reputed writer for DC Comics and he is working on the first issue of Three Jokers.
A spokesperson from the studio supported Hamada through a statement and turned down the allegations. "At no time did Mr. Hamada ever 'throw anyone under the bus,' as Mr. Fisher has falsely claimed, or render any judgments about the Justice League production, in which Mr. Hamada had no involvement," the spokesperson explained.
The spokesperson further added that the shooting of the movie began even before Hamada was authorized in the current position. The studio revealed that the actor has declined to cooperate in the ongoing investigation and to date, he hasn’t spoken with any of the investigators who requested to disclose his side of the story.
The conversation between the studio and Zack Snyder's Justice League star is going on for the past two months. The series of allegations began when Fisher first took Twitter and informed that Whedon didn't treat the crew and cast well. The actor revealed that the filmmaker's treatment was abusive, gross, completely unacceptable, and unprofessional.
Whedon became director of the Justice League movie following Zack Snyder quit the project for personal reasons. Moreover, the actor revealed that producers Berg and Johns encouraged the unprofessional behavior of the filmmaker.
The matters seemed to get tangled even further as Fisher is negotiating with the studio in order to reprise his character in The Flash, which is slated to release in 2022. Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck have already roped in for the project.
