Royal Shock: Prince Andrew's 'Special Allowance' From Queen Keeps Scandalous Royal From Poverty
The Queen of England has had her fair share of scandals, but one of the most repeated headlines for the Queen is her motherhood. She was only 21 years old when she inherited the British throne from her father, and at a young age, she became a mother to Prince Charles, followed by Princess Anne.
Many believe that the Queen was not the best mother at the time when she had Charles and Anne, after all, she was juggling a whole nation and nurturing heirs to the throne.
Almost 10 years passed since the Queen had Charles when both she and Prince Phillip decided to bring in a new addition. Prince Andrew who was born almost 10 years younger than Charles, was according to sources close to the Queen a second chance for her to redeem herself as a mother.
It was quite obvious from the get-go that Andrew was the Queen's favorite child. Prince Andrew reminded her of Prince Phillip, the valor, and the spontaneity they both had. But most of all, Andrew reminded the Queen of his father, King George IV.
When Prince Andrew was involved in the horrendous child trafficking ring with billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, the Queen immediately helped his son.
Andrew went on to be a guest in one of BBC’s night talk show where he explained his complicated friendship with pedophile Epstein. The interview backfired and Prince Andrew had to withdraw from his royal duties.
Due to him quitting his royal duties in the midst of the Epstein scandal, he also lost his annual allowance of $300,000. It is said that despite this, Andrew still receives a lump sum of money from his mother.
It is rumored that the Queen gives Andrew special allowances coming from her own Duchy, the Duchy of Lancaster.
People believe that Andrew, being the Queen’s favorite child has an unfair advantage. Many have called out for the removal of hi ‘HRH’ title after many scandals he has given the royal family.
UK taxpayers shared their thoughts that he should not have an ‘HRH’ title due to his scandals and for quitting his royal duties. His nephew, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle had their ‘HRH’ title removed after their announcement that they were leaving the royal family.
Prince Andrew withdrew from his royal duties after the interview he did with BBC and getting a magnanimous backlash for it. Currently, the Prince is enjoying his summer holiday in Balmoral, together with the Queen and Prince Phillip.
