Prince Harry Now Finds Life Challenging After Dropping His Surname: Report
It seems that the Duke of Sussex is not yet done with distancing himself from the royal family. The latest report is that he has dropped his surname in some official papers.
Express UK reports that Prince Harry did not use his official surname when he registered Travalyst, his sustainable tour firm. For those who do not know, his surname is Mountbatten-Windsor. In the registration paperwork for Travalyst, he is listed as Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex. It is not known whether Harry's refusal to use his surname has anything to do with the Megxit.
It was in January when the couple announced their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family. The official end was March 31 and they started their transition to non-royal life on April 1st. Part of their deal is that they can no longer use royal or the titles HRH. They will also no longer be using the Sussex Royal brand.
Instead, they are preparing to launch their own brand, which they have named Archewell. Apparently, this name has been in their minds for a while and even became an inspiration for their son's name, Archie. But the launch of the brand will have to be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, Cosmopolitan reports that Harry's friend Dr. Jane Goodall claims that Harry is finding life a bit challenging at the moment. Of course, this is understandable, considering what is happening right now.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved their family to LA. While Meghan may feel comfortable in the area, it is an entirely new world for the prince. Not only that, but he also cannot just visit his family in the UK even if he wanted to. His father, Prince Charles, has also been diagnosed with COVID-19 so that would make the transition harder for the duke.
Goodall has revealed earlier in the week how Prince Harry hinted at their separation from the royal family as early as summer of last year. It seems that he did not his son Archie to grow up like a royal. This means that he and his wife have already been planning to step down from their duties for a while now.
The couple has not made their future plans public yet, aside from announcing the name of their brand. They acknowledge that the world should be focusing now on finding the treatment for the pandemic and that the right time will come for their plans to unfold.
