Dr. Dre's Wife Seeks $2 Million Every Month After Divorce
Rapper Dr. Dre has been married to his wife, Nicole Young for over two decades. However, after things fall apart, Young has requested a huge amount to settle their divorce. The court documents revealed that Young has asked for spousal support of $1,936,399 every month.
Additionally, she asked for the expense of attorney that summed up to $5 million. Attorneys of Dre and Young have been reached by ET for comments. The couple filed for their divorce in June during the pandemic. Young and Dre got married in May 1996 and the couple commemorates their wedding anniversary recently.
As per the documents, the mother of two wants her spousal support to start from Sept. 1 in order to pursue her lifestyle without any changes. Young's attorney claimed that it is difficult for her to pay the bills and the magnate who has all the control over the assets is trying to influence.
In fact, the attorney said that they are trying to scrutinize the bills with the help of the agents. According to the papers, Young is not a working woman and she has been essential to Dre's professional life. She helped him to name the record, Aftermath Entertainment and she should be supported financially to continue with the lifestyle.
The papers discussed the luxurious life of the couple that includes a private jet, five homes in Los Angeles, 12 security guards, lavish cars, a private chef, seven housekeepers, and more. Young claimed that the rapper removed her from the house located at Brentwood in the night.
She said that Dre was drunk when he "kicked her out" and since then Young has shifted to another house in Malibu. Moreover, she accused the rapper of threatening her to sell that house and texted her that she is not supposed to spend even a single cent anymore.
"Undertaken an aggressive approach to this case, engaging in gamesmanship and no-holds-barred hyper-litigation simply because he can afford to," Young alleged about Dre. Furthermore, Young said that the 55-year-old rapper had cut off her sources to pay funds for the ongoing case.
Young revealed the premarital agreement she had with the rapper that she claimed was compelled to sign on the day of their wedding. As per Forbes, Dre fortune was calculated to $800 million in 2019 apart from his Beats Electronics company, which was acquired by Apple in 2014 for $3 billion. Before Young married Dre, she was married to Sedale Threatt, who played basketball for NBA.
