Caitlyn Jenner Opens Up About Her Split From Kris Jenner
Caitlyn Jenner has revealed that her being trans did not influence her and Kris Jenner's decision to call it quits. The retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete, then known as William Bruce Jenner, announced the separation from Kris in Oct. 2013, going public with her gender transition two years after this announcement.
Caitlyn appeared on Rob Lowe's podcast Literally! where the 70-year-old TV personality revealed there were other bigger issues that led to their breakup. She admitted that she might have been a bit shorter with Kris citing her own frustration with herself.
"Boy there were a lot of things going on," she explained, adding that they didn't have any issues all of a sudden. they didn't have any issues. They calmly reached an agreement with Caitlyn telling Kris she can have their home, and she will find another place.
Caitlyn admitted that after she decided to leave their marital home and find another house, Kris helped her find and shift to the new place. On top of that, Kris even helped her ex-husband decorated the new house in Malibu.
Caitlyn also confessed that Kris told her that all she wants was to ensure she feels comfortable. "And that was it, you know. And there I was, back in Malibu," she told Rob.
She came out as trans on the Vanity Fair cover of the July 2015 issue, with a classy bodysuit photo by Annie Liebovitz. She has six children including two daughters with Kris, Kendall Jenner, who is a supermodel, and Kylie Jenner, a makeup mogul, DailyMail reported.
Despite their amicable divorce, which was finalized about five years ago, ahead of the Vanity Fair cover, Kris and Caitlyn were heading into choppy waters. Caitlyn had a disagreement with Kris and her three daughters she shared with her first husband Robert Kardashian over her 2017 memoir entitled The Secrets Of My Life.
The book featured an unflattering portrayal of Kris, much to the chagrin of her and her Kardashian girls. They have mended fences since then, and Caitlyn even invited Kim and Kourtney to her 70th birthday dinner last year.
In the book, Caitlyn revealed that her being trans was partial to be blamed for the split of her two marriages to Chrystie Crownover and Linda Thompson. Caitlyn planned to transition completely after her split with Linda, but the plan was put on hold after she met Kris, whom she married in 1990.
