Chet Hanks, son of Tom Hanks wants to establish contact with Adele. The latest development comes after the songstress uploaded a picture on social media with Bantu knots and a bikini top with the Jamaican flag. 

Chet tried to get in touch with the songstress via Instagram after she was slammed by her critics for cultural appropriation. Tom Hank's son is more popularly known as Chet Haze, which is his rapper name.

The 30-year-old has been regularly slammed for trying to converse in a Jamaican accent and has been also criticized for cultural appropriation like the Grammy Award-winning singer, Daily Mail reports. There is a possibility that the Someone Like You hitmaker would not be amused with the kind of attention she got from the rapper. 

Many people have come out in the open in support of the Rolling in the Deep artist including Labor MP David Lammy and supermodel Naomi Campbell. However, it looked like Tom Hank’s son used the social media platform to tease the 32-year-old musician. 

Although the rapper himself faced accusations of cultural appropriation, he did not shirk from impersonating a Jamaican accent once again at this year’s Golden Globes. A video of him became viral where he was seen speaking in Patois. 

In the video, he congratulated his famous dad Tom Hanks for receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award. Chet Hanks laughed and mentioned he did not wish to be with a “mawga” or skinny girl. He was heavily criticized for his fake Jamaican accent

Meanwhile, Adele’s photo on Instagram got mixed reactions from her followers. Although some criticized for cultural appropriation, others thought the songstress as being appreciative of the Jamaican culture. 

Her supporters said that she was brought up in London’s Tottenham, a locality, which is dominated by the Black population. So, it is unusual to think that the accusations against her are right. 

Although the rapper’s mom Rita Wilson was amused after she watched his video, some netizens alleged him of indulging in cultural appropriation. It appeared that Chef was indifferent to the criticisms he received for his Instagram post.

The hip hop artist responded to his detractors by posting another clip on his IG page where he sounded amused that his earlier clip has been slammed by a few netizens. Tom Cruise’s son Chet Hanks said in another clip that the Internet had gone crazy over his Golden Globes video of 2020. 

On the other hand, Adele who parted ways from Simon Konecki, her husband in 2019 was rumored to be dating the 37-year-old Grime artist Skepta. However, the songstress seems to be single at present.
