Gwyneth Paltrow Continues ‘Uncoupling’ Ideology By Planning Chris Martin, Dakota Johnson’s Wedding? Here’s The Truth
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin made headlines years ago after they announced their decision to split.
Back then, the Shallow Hal actress told her fans that she and the Coldplay frontman have decided to “consciously uncouple.” The term was regarded as controversial because Paltrow seeming refused to just say that she and Martin were divorcing.
Years after their split, Paltrow, and Martin moved on from each other. And they are now dating other people. There are claims that Martin is planning to wed his girlfriend, Dakota Johnson.
And since Paltrow and Martin are still close, the Fifty Shades Darker star, allegedly, thought that the former should play a crucial role at their nuptials.
“It was Dakota’s idea to get Gwyneth involved. Gwyn has the best contacts in LA and a whole team at Goop tastemakers on her payroll. The kids, Apple and Moses, aren’t the only reason why they all went to the same area for the summer,” a source told New Idea.
However, Gossip Cop pointed out that there’s one problem with the tabloid’s story. And that is, Martin and Johnson are not engaged. As such, it’s unlikely for the actress to have asked Paltrow for help in planning her wedding.
But during a previous interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Paltrow admitted that she adores Johnson.
“I can see how it would seem weird because it’s sort of unconventional. But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively. I just adore her,” she gushed.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that a tabloid concocted a story about Paltrow, Martin, and Johnson. Last year, Now to Love claimed that Paltrow urged Martin and her husband, Brad Falchuk to have a foursome with Johnson.
But the rumor-debunking site managed to speak with a rep for Paltrow and was told that the claims were false.
Gossip Cop also dismissed another dubious story about Paltrow and Johnson last year. Woman’s Day claimed that the A-listers attended therapy together to deal with their issues.
However, Paltrow has made it clear that she and Johnson aren’t at odds with each other. In fact, they have forged a close relationship. Martin and Falchuk also get along just fine.
On Father’s Day, Paltrow paid tribute to Martin and Falchuk for being wonderful dads to her teenage kids, Apple, 16, and Moses, 14. The tribute is another way to prove that everyone’s on good terms with each other.
