Royal jealousy is not a new thing, Monarchies for centuries have been embroidered in acts of envy within their small circle of family. The 21st-century British Monarchs are no stranger being compared from one another, but as the royal rift between the Camridge’s and Sussex’s become deeper and deeper, the comparisons between them start to add up.

In a recent move to raise awareness on how important nature and plants are, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a small gardening project in a preschool in Los Angeles.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined the school and many of its youngsters in planting and rehabilitating the school’s learning garden.

Photos of the Sussex’ immediately went up on the internet, praising the Duke and Duchess for their initiative to join on the small project. Preschool Learning Centre in Los Angeles invited the Duke and Duchess, where they no only help plant and rehabilitate the garden, the couple also talked about the importance of nature and healthy living.

But fans of Kate Middleton were not happy with the project of the Sussex’ as it closely resembles to a project done by the Duchess of Cambridge in the UK last June.

Fans went to twitter and attack Harry and Meghan Markle saying that the two were copying Kate Middleton. They also accused the couple of joining the Preschool Learning Centre gardening project as a publicity stunt.

One loyal fan of Kate’s wrote Yup, copycat Duchess of Sussex in one of her staged acts of charity. Seeing a pattern emerging here... Meghan is so see-through.”

Many agreed that it was a publicity stunt from Sussex’ but there were also fans that were torn between whether the action of the Sussex’ was genuine. Stating that it would be the ‘highest form of flattery’ for Kate if her brother-in-law and sister-in-law copied her.

Kate Middleton’s gardening initiative happened last June in a children’s hospice, where the Duchess planted flowers and herbs for the new sensory garden of the hospital. The Duchess of Cambridge is an avid gardener and helped co-design space at the Chelsea Flower Show last year, the Duchess planted ‘Forget-Me-Not’s’ as a nod to the late Princess Diana.

The couple, Harry and Meghan Markle also planted ‘Forget-Me-Not’s’ during their visit to the preschool to mark the 23rd death anniversary of Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana.

Currently, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex' is based in America, where they are said to seek 'financial independence' from the royal family.
