Meg Ryan is, allegedly, seething at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for destroying the peace and quiet in her neighborhood of Montecito.

Ever since it was announced that the Sussexes bought a property in Santa Barbara, paparazzi started flocking to the neighborhood. Helicopters also roam the area at least four times a day in the hopes of catching a glimpse of Prince Harry and Markle.

One of the couple’s neighbors is Meg Ryan, who, reportedly, listed her house in New York as a long-term rental before relocating to Montecito. The actress, reportedly, chose the neighborhood because of the peace and quiet that it offers.

However, all this changed after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into the neighborhood.

“Meg moved to get away from it all. And now she’s got the world’s most famous couple, these notorious royal defectors, right next door bringing a lot more unwanted attention,” the source told National Enquirer.

The insider also said that Prince Harry and Markle’s presence has been attracting photographers, reporters, and even tourists. And everyone’s seemingly sticking their noses in what used to be a sleepy and quiet neighborhood.

According to the source, Ryan also chose to buy a house in Montecito because she was promised that the upscale neighborhood is paparazzi-proof. However, it no longer is.

The Sleepless in Seattle star can no longer sell her new house because she already listed her apartment in the Big Apple for long-term rental.

“Montecito is her home for good. Hopefully, she gets along with the prince and Duchess Meghan,” the source said.

However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. It is unlikely for Ryan to have complained about Prince Harry and Markle. After all, no other A-list celebrity residing close to the Sussexes has complained about them.

While it is true that the paparazzi have been roaming the neighborhood to catch a glimpse of the couple, this may not be a new occurrence. After all, hundreds of celebrities also live in the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Prince Harry and Markle’s non-celebrity neighbors are the ones complaining about them moving into the neighborhood. After all, they are the ones who are not used to seeing the paparazzi everywhere they go.
