Supermodel and host Olivia Culpo, 28, has officially shared her endometriosis diagnosis for the first time. On Aug. 26, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model utilizes her Instagram Story by opening up about the agonizing medical find.

“I’ve never publicly said this before, but I have endometriosis,” she initially said. Olivia then added that the illness is the majority of all pains that she ever experienced and witnessed as it causes excruciatingly painful cramps and periods.

Furthermore, the medical condition causes so much pain to its afflicted person because it heightens issues during a woman’s menstrual period. The leading cause is that the tissues that usually lines the uterus happen to grow outside the organ instead.

With sympathy and concern, fans of the former Miss Universe titleholder stormed the social media accounts of Olivia. Some even responded with their own story of the painful condition.

According to Olivia, she couldn’t believe that many are suffering from endo, and at the same time, she expressed how saddening it is that some have to go through this terrible experience. Moreover, she shared that using several heating pads and drinking lots of water and Midol helps ease the pain.

The storytelling went on with the beauty queen pleading her fans to ask for an official diagnosis if they believe that they have the condition. Also, she highlighted the results of not receiving proper treatment from professional doctors would lead to infertility. So, the model urged every concerned female to seek help from doctors specializing in that particular field; in that way, the pain would not be that problematic and agitating.

“…your eggs could be getting damaged,” Olivia exclaimed. She also explains that tissues abnormally growing inside the uterus would more likely interfere with a woman getting pregnant. “Definitely go to your doctor if you have painful periods,” she exclaimed out, alongside saying painful periods are not typical.

Celebrity Insider reported that Olivia isn’t the type of celebrity that shares so much of her health issues. The model recently made her way to headlines that link her with her newfound love Christian McCaffrey.

Last year, Olivia revealed through a post that she struggles with a health issue. Fans were then very swift to conclude that the said issue the model talked about is the Endo diagnosis she revealed recently. The matter led Olivia to become more cautious about her health because she doesn’t want to come out of age without having any children.
