Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage, premieres her fourth studio album 'Celia,' which includes a seductive duet called 'Temptation' featuring English pop superstar and crooner Sam Smith.

According to U Discover Music, the single arrives ahead of Tiwa's studio album, scheduled to be out on Aug. 28 (Friday). Furthermore, Fierboy DML and Smith himself co-wrote this track. Also, it was recorded in Lagos, Nigeria, and produced by London. The single follows "Dangerous Love" and "Koroba," which was previously made available from the same album. Both made chart history in Nigeria, setting off Tiwa as the only artist to premiere multiple tracks in Airplay of Turntable Charts' Top Ten.

Savage was dubbed as the "Queen of Afrobeats" during her May 2020 Billboard cover and graced in Beyonce's compilation album for The Lion King. In a report by Billboard during an interview with Apple Music, it mentions that Savage was not expecting that her collab with Smith was happening.

Moreover, she also described how amazing she finds Smith and how it changed the project's whole face. Savage spoke about afrobeat as a genre and how it helped bring the African culture into the mainstream audience. She believes it's a blessing to see how it has become one of the marketable genres from zero, and now it's giving a different light on the continent.

In the same article by U Discover Music, Sam Smith shared his excitement regarding the collaboration with Savage. He was thankful for the opportunity to work with such unstoppable and beautiful talent like Tiwa Savage. He also revealed how much fun it was working with her.

"Temptation" is now listed as Sam Smith's second track with a Nigerian artist following last month since he released their soaring new single called "My Oasis," which featured Burna Boy. He is also one of the high-profile Nigerian artists and songwriters who rose to prominence in 2012.

CNN Entertainment report that Smith had renamed his new album "To Die For" due to pandemic. He said it was uncomfortable to release such a phrase with so many people being affected by the coronavirus outbreak. To include the word "die" on his album title appears disrespectful and insensitive, knowing what others are going through right now since this pandemic. Being sensitive is very important, especially in this crisis, the world is facing right now.
