Meghan Markle Praised Prince Harry For Being A Masculine Feminist In Chat With Gloria Steinem
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex go to great heights to do justice to their social roles. Be it through public appearances, cinema, or social media posts, the Sussexes’ efforts to highlight the importance of social responsibility often comes to the surface.
As the phrase goes, ‘Charity begins at home’ – the royal pair is generous and responsible both inside and outside. One such news has come across which is about a good Harry and a proud Meghan.
Meghan Markle is proud to have Harry in the form of her husband. She has highlighted the commendable characteristics of Prince Harry’s personality before – and this time it is nothing very different.
On the female empowerment platform Makers Women, Meghan, 39, interviewed activist Gloria, 86, with Q&A specifically designed on feminist issues and the current landscape of society for females.
In what was described as a ‘backyard chat,’ Meghan and Gloria sat down on socially distanced garden chairs to talk about hardships faced by women in the society.
Amid all the talks about women empowerment, Gloria happened to point out that it’s possible to be masculine, a guy, and feminist at the same time. Meghan responded to that by saying that her husband is exactly what Gloria stated.
Adding to that, Meghan said that Harry is the example that being “feminist and be masculine and a guy” is possible. She further stated that Harry has always been so “comfortable” to support women’s rights.
The Duchess praised Harry for being a masculine feminist who stands up to show full support to women.
Speaking of how great of a man Harry is, Meghan said, “I look at our son and what a beautiful example that he gets to grow up with a father who is so comfortable owning that as part of his own self-identification. That there’s no shame in being someone who advocates for fundamental human rights for everyone, which of course includes women.”
The Duchess also touched upon how coronavirus, on the flip side, has been helpful to people in transforming their lives for better. Meghan said that the pandemic led lockdowns allowed people to delve into their lives and “reset” it to know "what actually matters."
In addition, the ladies also discussed their concerns regarding the voter turnout. Talking about elections and voter responsibilities, Gloria stated that those who don’t vote don’t exist. The ladies covered a lot of important issues, and the solutions they suggested are totally worth considering.
