'Stranger Things' Cast Noah Schnapp Refutes Using The N-Word In Viral Video
The Netflix produced adventure series ‘Stranger Things’ lead star Noah Schnapp, 15, stormed over his social media account. The matter follows after a video clip of him and a close pal singing Chris Brown’s original verse from his major hit song titled ‘Freaky Friday,’ that features Lil Dicky. The song repeatedly blurts out the racial N-word on its lyrics, where the young actor was accused of confidently saying it in the viral video.
“Hi guys. recently a video from last summer has gotten out of me dancing and singing a song while singing the word ‘neighbor’ over the n word,” the film actor wrote. His statement was published on his Instagram story on August 26 (Wednesday). He added that he would never express and articulate the n-word in his life while using the word “neighbor” in the clip is just him and his camp friends fooling around.
He continued hoping everyone’s understanding of the cheeky video and that he would never do any act of racism. His friends would also never support him or post a video of them that contains a racial slur.
Furthermore, the actor, who plays as Will Byers in the hit series, apologizes for using a replacement word and never is in the right place. He continued by saying he shouldn’t have said anything at all, Noah also totally understands why is treated as an offensive act. “and i am so sorry,” he concluded.
As per Hollywood Life, the video clip posted by his friend on Instagram was taken down immediately.
Recently, the actor revealed to a magazine that he loves being on social media as it gives him the chance to interact and share a part of him with his fans. He said that social media platforms are fun because you do not need to worry about what other people might say or think about you.
Noah isn’t the only celebrity who was caught up in the same situation and had to address it. Hannah Brown, 25, former ‘Bachelorette,’ issued a huge apology after she was caught saying the n-word on her Instagram Live while tagging along DaBaby’s track called ‘Rockstar.’
She said that her post is also a way to defend herself from bashers and his actions that confused and embarrassed her. Hannah posted an 18-minute video on her Instagram while breaking down in full tears. “I was embarrassed, I was disappointed, and I just felt so much shame on me,” she said.
