ACM Awards: Old Dominion, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, And More To Perform
Country music has come a long way emerging from the rural southern part of the country. The ballad style of music is one of the most popular forms in the United States. In recent times, the popularity of country music has risen beyond the nation's horizons, and it is being hailed as a soulful and prolific category of music.
This is the reason the Academy of Country Music organizes “the night of heart and hits” in the honor of unparalleled talents of country musicians.
The 55th annual ACM awards is upon us and ACM promises a world of entertainment and fun. The show for the first time will air straight from Nashville from three distinct locations. Ahead of the award show, the organization has revealed the names of some of the performers for the night. It’s huge. The revealed list bears the names of some of this year's most prolific country musicians.
Artists who will perform from the iconic Ryman Auditorium include Old Dominion (hit medley), Maren Morris (To Hell & Back), Kelsea Ballerini (Hole in the Bottle), Gabby Barrett (I Hope), and Thomas Rhett featuring Jon Pardi (Beer Can’t Fix). The artists listed above are the recipients of most nominations. Rhett is the most nominated male singer this year; Old Dominion is this year’s most-nominated group; Morris is the most nominated female singer this year.
Besides the three, Ryman Auditorium will see the performances from ACM’s newly crowned new male and female artist of the year winners, Riley Green and Tenille Townes.
In addition to Ryman, The Bluebird Café will also be the house to some fiery performances - Jimmie Allen (“Make Me Want To”), Luke Combs (“Better Together”), Tim McGraw (“I Called Mama”) and Miranda Lambert, Natalie Hemby & Luke Dick ("Bluebird"). Hemby and Dick co-wrote “Bluebird” with Lambert.
The list of performers and presenters for the third venue the Grand Ole Opry House is yet to be released. As Rhett and Combs are nominated for the male artist of the year, Ballerini, Morris, and Lambert are the nominations for the female artist of the year.
Last year’s AMC’s entertainer of the year, Keith Urban will be the host for the show. All set for the big night, but more details and revelations are on the way, so it may get bigger and glossier. It's cheerful to know that country music's influence is beginning to encompass a wider variety of audiences and the Academy of Country Music underlines the same.
