Netflix's 'Rising Phoenix' Is 'One That Project' For Everyone
Netflix’s catalog features a vastitude of pieces ranging from mainstream entertainment to social projects that bring to light important social topics that need wider attention. The streaming platform has struck an equilibrium with an ideal proportion of both kinds of offerings. Now, with it’s the latest addition, the streaming company has one more time impressed fans, critics, and all those who look for inspiration in features.
It is a movie based on the celebration of the Paralympics movement titled Rising Phoenix. The inspirational piece, Rising Phoenix centers around the integral and instrumental elements of an athlete’s life that make him extraordinary.
The movie features athletes from a variety of sports including Tatyana McFadden, a wheelchair racer; Ellie Coleman, a professional record-breaking swimmer who swims with one leg; Matt Stutzman, a champion in archery who doesn’t have arms and shoots with his legs.
Besides them, the film also features sprinter Jonnie Peacock, runner Jean-Baptiste Alaize, wheelchair rugby player Ryley Batt, track athlete Ntando Mahlangu, fencer Bebe Vio, and powerlifter Cui Zhe.
The motivation, struggle, fight, and zeal of these incredible athletes have been documented in a way so that their stories can inspire viewers every day and everywhere they go.
Rising Pheonix gives out the essence of athleticism. Not only is it for athletes and sportspersons, but the appeal of the story also encompasses the discipline and way to live life no matter what. It’s not wrong to say, it’s for all because everybody can derive important life lessons out of it.
Rising Phoenix is helmed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui and debuts on 26 August. Bonhôte has summed up the project saying that heroes are created at the Olympics, but “Paralympics are where heroes come.”
Ettedgui also shed light on why Rising Phoenix is an important piece for all of humanity. The director said, “It was the greatest story never told. They’re driven to change people’s hearts and minds and change society. That’s something that really spoke to us. It kind of represents the best of humanity. We did feel that this story speaks way beyond people with disabilities”
A project of this kind and this level does an important exploration of what’s important to believe in and do as a human being. Olympics may be postponed but Rising Phoenix is a reminder of to continue to “examining our own attitudes.”
It's easy to see why Netflix is leading the war of streamers.
