Elsa Pataky Says Marriage To Chris Hemsworth Not Perfect'
Staying married for 10 years is not an easy thing to do, so it is no wonder some people look at marriages that last that long as perfect. However, actress Elsa Pataky says her 10-year marriage to actor Chris Hemsworth has not been perfect at all.
In an interview with the magazine Body+Soul, Pataky shared that she found it funny that people think she and Hemsworth have a perfect marriage when it has been nothing of the sort. She insists that there have been ups and downs in their relationship and that it has always been constant work.
The couple have been living in Byron Bay in New South Wales since 2014 and lives what Pataky describes as a “normal life.” That said, their presence has drawn the attention of paparazzi and also enticed other celebrities to move in.
People notes that the couple first met back in 2010 and had married by December of that year. At the time, neither of them had made a breakthrough with regards to their respective acting careers and Pataky said it was beautiful that she was able to grow with Hemsworth and be with him throughout his career successes.
A year after their marriage, they welcomed their first child, India. Pataky admitted that having children so quickly put a lot of pressure on their marriage but said they were able to move through that rough patch through their strong personalities and the love that they share.
While none of the rough spots in Pataky and Hemsworth’s marriage have ever made it into the press, not all celebrities have been as lucky. A recent example is the curiosity about the state of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s marriage after singer August Alsina revealed that he had an affair with Pinkett Smith.
The Smiths cleared up the rumors around the relationship on a special episode of Pinkett Smith’s Facebook talk show, Red Table Talk. In the episode, the couple revealed that they had briefly separated during the time that Pinkett-Smith was in a relationship with Alsina.
The 12-minute episode titled Jada Brings Herself to the Table garnered record-breaking views for the Facebook show, with 15 million views amassed in the first 24 hours of its release. Before it broke the record, the episode with the most views gathered in 24 hours was the episode featuring Jordyn Woods.
Another celebrity couple that had a very public breakdown of their relationship is Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, who are currently locked in a contentious libel case in the United Kingdom. Heard has described the trial as “incredibly painful” especially since it has exposed intimate details of her relationship with Depp.
