As the various citizens of the world of races continue to thrive harder than before because of the ongoing global pandemic caused by the COVID-19, Tony Awards champion and Broadway star Lea Salonga, 40, dropped a new record that will surely lift the hearts of its listeners. Salonga's latest anthem is called 'Dream Again' and debuted exclusively on Hollywood Life on Aug. 21.

Along with the track's release is the song's music video that features fans from different locations that share to the world their hopes and dreams on things they have wanted to do once the lockdowns are over.

"There was this idea that once all the physical distancing was done, that we may be able to focus on getting things back to normal," Salonga remarked. She then added that aside from hoping for the world to go back to normal, people also have a fair share of dreams and aspirations for those hope to become real. As per the Broadway diva, the things that people long to do once the pandemic is over what keeps them sane and whole all this time.

As the interview went on, the 'Reflection' singer blurted out the significance of 'Dream Again.' The songs say that even though everyone, if not, is still stuck in quarantine or forced to stay home due to the lockdown, we can always aspire ourselves out for the bright future that awaits us and plan things out, hoping the COVID-19 discord to be stopped. And aside from dreaming, making oneself ready for those dreams to come true is ideal.

'Dream Again' hails Daniel Edmond and Blair Bodine as the lyricist, making the new record a teamwork product, mostly using the online video calling application Zoom. The singer, who is now residing in Manila, Philippines, told HL that the track comprises several international crew and staff upon its creation.

Furthermore, Salonga's daughter, Nicole Chien, provided the single cover art, making the former Disney singer a proud mother. Additionally, Salonga revealed that she was very hesitant at first, but when her daughter showed the artwork, she was utterly mesmerized.

In a report by Manila Bulletin, all proceeds of her 'Dream Again' will go through 'The Actors Fund' that supports resiliency and stability for performing arts artists. The said fund does not just help the actors, but it benefits them throughout their lifetime.

For starters, Salonga has voiced two well-known Disney princesses from their original animated movie, Mulan and Jasmine.
