Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s move of stepping down from their royal duties shocked the world. It seemed like a perfect fairytale when the two married and many royal fans were excited for the future of the Royal family with the newest addition, Meghan.

But alas, after a few years of being senior royals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their leaving.

Now, the couple is based in the United States, they made headlines as they moved to their very own home, a $14.7 million estate in Santa Barbara. The Duke and Duchess have many future plans that stray very much away from the Royal Family’s duties.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been very active on different advocacies, especially now that they are free to do whatever they want.

Recently, Meghan Markle was a star speaker for the initiative ‘When All Women Vote’, an initiative that was co-founded by the powerhouse, Michelle Obama. The virtual engagement talks about the upcoming election in November in the US. 

In the virtual engagement, Meghan talked about change, as wells as inspiring women to vote. Meghan’s involvement in political matters was criticized by many as it is believed that royals should stay neutral when it comes to politics.

Meghan’s support on this initiative also is heavily due to the fact of its co-founder. According to many, Michelle Obama heavily influenced Prince Harry and Meghan to leave the Royal family.

Sources say that Meghan compares herself to Michelle in a way that both their husbands were in very powerful positions. The Duchess looks up to Michelle Obama in a big way. The two were introduced back in May 2018.

It is said that Michelle Obama is becoming a mentor to Meghan’s as both of them have similar paths and ideals.

“Like me, Meghan probably never dreamt she’d have a life like this and the pressure you can feel can sometimes feel like a lot”, Mrs. Obama comment on Meghan’s journey.

Meghan and Michelle will work together in the future, sources believe. Both Meghan and Michelle as well as their husbands are signed to the same talent agency and both couples run in the same circle. 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are trying out things outside of what the Royal family does, they have extended there reach further than any royals have done and their decision to leave the Royal family has been supported by the Queen herself.
