Justin Townes Earle Dies At 38, Son Of Artist Steve Earle
Musician and Songwriter, Justin Townes Earle passed away at the age of 38. The musician was celebrated as a singer and songwriter who does alternative country music. Townes Earle was also known for being the son of a legendary rock artist, Stephen Fain Earle.
The sad news was shared on his official social media account on Aug. 23. The caption of the post seemed to be written by members of the family. The post featured Townes Earle playing the guitar with a smile.
"It is with tremendous sadness that we inform you of the passing of our son, husband, father and friend Justin. So many of you have relied on his music and lyrics over the years and we hope that his music will continue to guide you on your journeys," the post reads on Instagram.
The family wrote that the musician will be missed dearly and the post was concluded by featuring four lines of a song by artist Joshua Black Wilkins. The family has not revealed the reason behind his death. However, fans are worried that pandemic tricked one more artist.
Townes Earle debuted his career by releasing EP of six-song, Yuma. Soon he got into an official contract with Bloodshot Records based on Chicago that helped him release The Good Life music album in 2008. Since then, the artist has released many musicals under the banner of Bloodshot Records.
In the past 13 years, the musician has launched nine albums while his latest album was released in May 2019 called The Saint of Lost Causes. Before the coronavirus pandemic lockdown began, Townes Earle was on a tour and performing at several locations across the country.
The 38-year-old star shared a three-year-old daughter named Etta with her wife Jenn Marie. The Nashville born star was brought up by his mom, Carol Ann Hunter Earle and he started consuming drugs when he was 12. Townes Earle went to rehab to get rid of the addiction and came out sober.
Later, the musician came to New York City and married his wife in 2013. The middle name of the artist was given by his father in honor of Townes van Zandt, who mentored Steve Earle.
Interestingly, Townes Earle was also a school dropout like many artists and successful entrepreneurs and started to work with his own father. Eventually, he moved to eastern Tennessee before he began his battle with drug addiction.
