The never-ending Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle comparisons, reportedly, show that there’s a double standard between the duchesses.

According to Gossip Cop, tabloids have not only been pitting Middleton and Markle against each other. They have also been showcasing Prince William’s wife as an angel, while Prince Harry’s wife is the devil.

The rumor-debunking site enumerated some of the times wherein the double standards between Middleton and Markle came into play.

For instance, the Duchess of Cambridge has always been dubbed as a wonderful mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Markle, on the other hand, is oftentimes criticized with regards to her parenting skills.

Some tabloids also pitted the Cambridges against the Sussexes by saying that Prince William and Middleton are furious at Prince Harry and Markle. After all, they made them out to be villains in Finding Freedom.

However, the authors of Finding Freedom have been adamant at saying that Prince Harry and Markle weren’t interviewed for the book. In fact, it was Prince Harry and Markle’s friends that were interviewed by the authors.

Just recently, another tabloid claimed that Queen Elizabeth is beyond impressed with Middleton. And everything that she’s been doing for the royal family and The Firm.

On the other hand, the queen is, allegedly, furious at Markle for quitting The Firm in January.

While Middleton impressed the queen, Markle made the monarch furious.

“The difference in coverage is clear: Middleton makes the queen’s life easier, while Markle makes her life worse. This is in character for the tabloid who once bogusly reported that the queen was ordering the Sussexes to get back to work,” they said.

Gossip Cop also said that there’s hardly any mention of Markle’s good deeds. And if there are, they are usually followed by criticisms.

The rumor-debunking site also slammed Life & Style for not talking about Markle’s previous ventures. The omission of such stories, reportedly, encouraged the site to debunk the tabloid’s other claims.

In Finding Freedom, the authors also said that Middleton and Markle never fought with each other. But before this clarification was made, there were claims that Markle made Middleton cry.

Markle was also, allegedly, the one that snubbed Middleton. But Finding Freedom revealed otherwise.

One cannot deny that there’s really a double standard when it comes to Markle and Middleton. And Prince Harry’s wife is almost always the one who’s criticized.
