Princess Diana Thought Her Marriage To Prince Charles Failed For This Reason, Not Just Camilla
Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage was quite tumultuous.
In fact, after just 11 years, Prince Charles and Princess Diana announced their separation. In 1996, their divorce was finalized.
The break down of their marriage was mostly blamed on Camilla Parker Bowles. After all, she and Prince Charles had an affair while the latter was still married to Princess Diana.
However, there’s another reason why the royal couple’s marriage didn’t work out. While speaking with Express, royal expert Ingrid Seward said that the late royal felt that the timing of her relationship with Prince Charles wasn’t right.
“What a shame we didn’t meet each other at a different time,” Princess Diana, reportedly, said while talking about her marriage ending.
While speaking with Daily Mail, Princess Diana’s psychic, Simone Simmons also said the same thing. During one of their conversations, the Princess of Wales, reportedly, said that timing was the reason why their marriage failed.
“If they had left it 10 years and then got married, I believe they would be together today. They would have had their differences, but I think they may have got back together,” Simmons said.
Meanwhile, Princess Diana also made headlines this week after her wedding dress was featured in the teaser for the upcoming season of The Crown.
In the 30-second clip, the future Princess of Wales is standing alone in a grand room and her back is turned towards the camera. Emma Corrin will play the role of Princess Diana in the hit Netflix series.
The upcoming season will revolve around the beginning of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s relationship, their wedding, and the eventual fall out of their marriage.
In the teaser, Corrin’s dress resembles the actual gown that Princess Diana wore on her wedding day in 1981. Her gown was designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel.
In the book Diana: The Portrait, author Rosalind Coward revealed that a lot of people were surprised when Princess Diana chose Emanuel as her designer.
“Fashion was not her thing at all; it was something that was really forced upon her because she had to dress up for the part,” Elizabeth said.
Princess Diana’s death anniversary is also set to take place on August 31. The mom of two died in a fatal car crash in Paris while he was with her then-boyfriend, Dodi Al Fayed.
