Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's Son Archie Has First Birthday Plans Ruined: Report
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the firstborn son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is turning one this Many 6. Unfortunately, it looks like the coronavirus pandemic has ruined his birthday plans.
According to Express UK, the family was supposed to go back to the UK so that they can celebrate the momentous occasion with the Queen and the rest of the members of the royal family. A source says "The hope had been that Archie's first birthday would somehow be marked with some members of the royal family, cousins, grandparents and some godparents in the U.K. when they were over in the UK."
But due to the pandemic, the couple is now at their home in LA in quarantine. Some of the events they were expected to attend were the Invictus Games and Queen's Parade. But both events have since been canceled due to the crisis that the world is facing right now.
So now sources are saying that for Archie's birthday, the couple will just be staying at home. There's no report on whether they will be joined by Doria Ragland, Meghan's mother who just lives in the area. But before his birthday, Archie has one more event first, which is his first Easter! Hello! Magazine says that the couple might also have something planned for their only child.
The couple had recently moved to Los Angeles after staying on Vancouver Island. Sources say that the couple would like to make America their base now that they are no longer senior members of the royal family. They have already started by hiring their own PR team as the palace will no longer be making announcements for them.
The latest news about the Sussexes is that they are planning to launch their own brand, Archewell. Apparently, this has been in the works for a while, as they have already come up with the name Archewel even before Sussex Royal came about.
This is contrary to the news that they named it after their son Archie. Rather, Archie's name was actually inspired by this. Under their brand, they plan to launch not just a charitable organization but a wellbeing website, among others.
But exact dates for the launching of the brand has not been announced. The couple will do this when the timing is right. Right now, the world is facing a pandemic crisis and they want the focus to be on that and not on their brand.
