Slated for release on December 22, 2021, Dwayne Johnson-starrer DC Extended Universe superhero movie Black Adam has been making headlines since the news of its making came about. However, the bulk of the elements about the new movie has still remained under wraps until now – Saturday’s DC FanDome panel will give waiters the first look at the character as well as the background of the movie.

Black Adam was initially planned to be a villain in Shazam!, but the humongous popularity and fan following of The Rock brought a turnaround – the character got a solo movie. For the last few years, the movie has been in development. Although there has been a delay due to coronavirus, the film has still made huge developments. The details of which may be revealed during the FanDome.

It will be a 24-hour free online convention featuring panels for every DCEU movie in development. A panel will entirely be dedicated to Johnson’s Black Adam, which is suggestive that a lot of updates about the movie is on the way.

The quantum will go sky-high with the release of Black Adam, and The Rock believes so. Ahead of FanDome panel, in his recent tweet, the wrestler-turned-actor posted an illustration of the character and wrote, “The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change. BLACK ADAM arrives TOMORROW at #DCFanDome. He’s coming to crush them all.”

The spinoff of Shazam!, Black Adam will be directed by the Jungle Cruise director Jaume Collet-Serra.

The Rock is one of the biggest and most influential Hollywood superstars today, leading multiple popular franchises. Black Adam is Johnson’s first superhero movie, one that fans and Hollywood are insanely excited about. The actor has a great history of pulling off big and powerful characters such as Hercules, and due to that, the energy and expectations are incredible.

The Rock is psyched up to be a part of DCEU having expressed his enthusiasm through an Instagram post last year.  Informing fans of his collaboration with DC, the actor posted concept art of himself as the character and captioned, “I’m honored to join the iconic #DCUniverse and it’s a true pleasure to become Black Adam. He’s [Black Adam] a rebellious, one-of-a-kind superhero, who’ll always do what’s right for the people — but he does it his way.”

Black Adam has his way of doing business, and The Rock has got his own style – it’s great that they found each other through this project.
