Katie Holmes always looks chic no matter whether she is attending a red carpet event or otherwise. The mom-of-one was recently seen enjoying her solo stroll on the streets of Manhattan, NYC.

Holmes grabbed headlines once again when she recently stepped outside her home for a walk in NYC, looking casual yet chic. The 41-year-old actress looked classy in her baggy gray sweater and a long denim skirt. 

The Dawson’s Creek alum covered her eyes with dark shades. The actress also made sure to wear a medical face mask as a safety precaution while enjoying her stroll amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Batman Begins star had no qualms about declaring her support for the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Bidden on her IG page this week. She also posted a stunning picture of herself snapped in April this year for the cover shoot of the InStyle magazine. 

Holmes shares her teenage daughter Suri Cruise with her former husband Tom Cruise. She was married to the Hollywood A-lister between 2006 to 2012. She started dating the Top Gun actor in 2005 but they got engaged within seven weeks of dating each other.

The former couple’s special Scientology wedding was held in Bracciano’s Castello Orsini-Odescalchi in November 2006. Their daughter was born seven months after the wedding.

Katie Holmes filed for a divorce six years after her marriage, which was finalized only a few days later. She retained the primary custody of her daughter though Cruise was given visitation rights by the court. 

The First Daughter actress has been bringing up her daughter as a single mom ever since she parted ways from Cruise. She has successfully managed her professional demands, as well as, has been a doting mom to her 14-year-old daughter. 

Similar to all other parents in the current global health crisis, the actress is getting extra quality time to spend with her daughter amid the ongoing lockdown. She feels the lockdown has a bright side too for this reason.

Meanwhile, David Miscavige, the leader of the Church of Scientology has, reportedly, said a few years ago that Holmes’ reservations about the religion including the influence it could have on her daughter were a major reason for her to leave Cruise. 

On the other hand, the actor has not even been snapped with his daughter Suri Cruise in the last seven years. A source even claimed that anyone would be permitted to visit their child if they wished to do so. 

The actor possibly does not want to meet his daughter as she is not a follower of the church, according to the insider.
