A story published last year insisted that Courteney Cox was present in Justin Theroux’s birthday celebration leading to a fallout with her friend Jennifer Aniston. Read on to know whether the story is true or not!

There was a report last year, which claimed Cox attended Theroux’s birthday, thus betraying her pal Jen. An unnamed source told the publication that the Friends alum and the Lady and the Tramp actor are not on good terms after their split. 

The same source added that Jen feels her friend’s action to be a betrayal. Further, it was mentioned that there is nothing romantic between Cox and her current boyfriend Johnny McDaid’s relationship. The report thus insinuated that Cox had a romantic interest in Jen’s former husband. 

However, a spokesperson for The Morning Show actress, reportedly, informed Gossip Cop that the story was nonsense. After all, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have an amicable relationship even after their split.

It was obvious when The Spy Who Dumped Me star wished his former wife a happy birthday in February this year. Also, Jen had invited both her former husband and Courteney Cox to a Thanksgiving party. So, there is no animosity between them as was hinted in the report. 

Despite speculations, Jen and Cox remain the best of friends even today. The entire cast of the iconic Friends is coming together for a special reunion program, which will be streamed on HBO Max. 

Cox seems to have an interesting year ahead because she mentioned she would be working in Scream 5 along with David Arquette, her former husband, Cinema Blend reports. Meanwhile, Jen has been nominated for an Emmy for her performance in The Morning Show.

The duo even appeared together in one of Cox’s recent Instagram post. The same magazine had earlier published some bogus stories on Jen and Cox. 

It purported that the besties are all set for a double wedding with Jen getting married to her ex-husband Brad Pitt and Cox exchanging vows with McDaid. 

Cox and McDaid are indeed dating but Jen and Pitt are not seeing each other. There was another bizarre story insisting that Aniston was planning to adopt her brother’s kids. 

Theroux has been linked to different women starting from Bradley Cooper’s former girlfriend Irina Shayk to Tom Cruise’s ex-wife Katie Holmes. However, the only truth in these stories is both these ladies are exes of famous people as Theroux is not seeing anyone.  

As of date, there is no solid proof to establish that Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox are no longer friends because the latter attended Justin Theroux’s birthday.
