TV Host Paul O'Grady Believes He Has COVID-19
There have not been any official tests done to prove that he has it, but English television presenter Paul O’ Grady is convinced he has the coronavirus.
RTE reports that the 64-year-old has been self-isolating and has been dealing with flu-like symptoms, which he is convinced is actually the coronavirus.
While he didn’t have the coughs or high temperatures associated with COVID-19, he says he did experience the “sheer exhaustion” that other people who have tested positive for COVID-19 has experienced. When pressed by an interviewer, he responded that he “most definitely” had the coronavirus.
Metro reports that since O’ Grady is in isolation and not in a hospital, the television presenter has been self-medicating with a concoction he has come up with himself. Calling it “four thieves vinegar,” the supposed remedy is made from cider vinegar, multiple cloves of garlic, and four different kinds of herbs, namely bay leaf, lemongrass, parsley, and rosemary. O’ Grady says it was something that was used during the time of the Black Death.
The concoction has not been approved or proven effective by Public Health England.
If O’ Grady does test positive for the coronavirus, it adds him to the growing list of entertainment figures who have caught the illness. These include legendary singer and actress Marianne Faithfull, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, television host Andy Cohen, singer Placido Domingo, and actors Ali Wentworth, Rita Wilson, Olga Kurylenko, Tom Hanks, Kristofer Hivju, and Idris Elba.
