Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Scores Hollywood Deal: Move To Santa Barbara All Part Of A Bigger Plan
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the Royal Family may have caused some permanent damage to the future plans of the Royal but this has the exact opposite effect for the couple. Now that they are not constrained to engaging only in what the Royal Family deems ‘good’, Harry and Meghan can blossom into proper philanthropists and speakers.
The couple announced their intention to leave their royal duties back in January 2020, this was coupled with them flying to Canada and spending winter holidays there and stay for a couple of months.
The couple first stayed in LA but recently bought a new estate in Santa Barbara, California.
This move from Prince Harry and Meghan caused some stir amongst royal watchers. One of the reasons why the couple move to Santa Barbara is its proximity to Hollywood.
Sources close to the couple said that the royal couple has been meeting with big executives in California. Prince Harry and Meghan are said to be pitching an idea.
They have been very quiet about this new venture and have been doing so since their big move to Santa Barbara in June of 2020. The couple’s project has been kept mum about, and not many details have been released yet.
This comes to no surprise that the couple immediately started reaching out to Hollywood executives just a few months after there exit from Royal duties.
Meghan Markle, who is an ex-actress was involved in a Disney documentary about Elephants, she lent her voice as the narrator. This was the first project she did after stepping down from her royal assignments.
Prince Harry also made a cameo for a Netflix documentary regarding the Paralympics and has recently signed with OprahTV for a series on Apple+ about mental health.
The couple has only been doing speaking engagements as of right now, and are said to be not paid for this. But many Hollywood agents have commented that the couple can easily get a hefty fee for doing speaking engagements.
“I would not be shocked if they earned in excess of $1 million,” Ronn Torossian, CEO of New York-based firm 5W Public Relations said.
Currently, the couple is signed to a talent agency, which boasts heavy talents, such as former POTUS, Barrack Obama, and FLOTUS Michelle Obama.
As of right now, there are no clear plans as to what the couple’s plans are in the US and why they chose to live in California.
