Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s Onscreen Reunion Since 2001, Actor To Participate in ‘Fast Times At Ridgemont High’ Virtual Table Read
Fans will be delighted to know that Brad Pitt will be soon seen working with his former wife Jennifer Aniston. The exes are expected to participate in an online table read of the popular comedy film Fast Times At Ridgemont High, which was released in 1982.
The names of Jimmy Kimmel and Pitt were the latest to be declared this week to join the live read of the 1982 comedy movie. It will be the first time the Troy actor will be working with Jen since they shared screen space in 2001.
Some other prominent celebrities who will participate in this nostalgic journey include Shia LaBeouf, Julia Roberts, Morgan Freeman, Matthew McConaughey, Sean Penn, Dane Cook, and Henry Golding. The streaming of this live event will take place on the TikTok and Facebook accounts of CORE, a charity organization owned by Penn on Aug. 21, 2020, Daily Mail reports.
Cook is likely to present the reading at the event. Meanwhile, Penn is tight-lipped about the character he is going to play during the online read. It has been confirmed though that he will not be playing the iconic character of Jeff Spicoli from the original film.
For the universe, the Fight Club actor was seen as a cameo in the hit sitcom Friends, way back in 2001. Pitt and Jen were already married then. However, the duo has hardly acted together in film or screen-related projects.
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston got married in July 2000 but parted ways just five years later. The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star later tied the knot with Angelina Jolie.
Irrespective of what happened in the past, Pitt and Jen have maintained a cordial relationship over the years, which appeared to have become closer in recent days. Aniston invited her former spouse on her 50th birthday bash where the duo supposedly has had an amicable chat.
At the beginning of 2020, the pair had a short reunion at the SAG Awards. Pitt bagged the award in the category of the Best Supporting Actor for his outstanding performance in the film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The actor jested about portraying the role of a person who has issues with his wife. His acceptance speech got a hearty applaud from the audience and Aniston was also spotted cheering her ex.
When Jennifer Aniston bagged an award for her acting in The Morning Show at the same ceremony, Brad Pitt was at the backstage watching her speech on a screen. She later referred to the gesture as “sweet” during an interview with ExtraTV.
