Grammy Awards winner, Taylor Swift, 30, is known for her culture to let her beloved Swifties unveil her iconic Easter eggs for most of her music video. However, the 'You Belong With Me' singer revealed all the surprises on her new video for the Vevo Footnotes series on Aug. 17 (Monday). According to Billboard, Taylor talked about all her inspirations for her enchanting 'Cardigan' music video by dissecting the behind-the-scenes bits of the video.

The almost five-minute music video showcases pop-up illusion that depicts her inspiration, subtle messages, and hidden codes. Taylor went on stunning her fans and viewers in the music video.

The old portrait of a man

A photo of a man that sits on top of the old piano is Taylor's grandfather. Moreover, the fantastic artwork hanged beside it is a painting by the singer that she finished in the quarantine season's early days.

Taylor previously revealed that she had written several tracks in 'Folklore' that sings of another person's point of view. The matter includes her grandfather Dean where his war experiences are in 'Epiphany.'

Undoubtedly, Taylor purposely made the clock point to 1 and 3 because it is the singer's favorite number, 13.

"I started asking him about what their writing process is," Taylor said. "He told me they work remotely a lot because they live all over the world."

'Cardigan's' music video tells the story of the "new normal" the production team has to adopt while shooting the music video. Taylor previously revealed that she did her glam and wore her clothes due to the strict compliance of the production to the government's mandate in preventing the spread of the coronavirus.

Furthermore, the team followed the new protocol despite its difficulty. All staff and crew observed the physical distancing and achieved the health standards by having a health supervisor on set.

The album is a total surprise

Taylor shocked the Swifties when she announced 'Folklore' a day before its prominence. The singer wore an earpiece while shooting 'Cardigan' so no one else could hear the song.
