Meghan Markle has always been a huge fan of Angelina Jolie.

In the book Finding Freedom, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand revealed that Markle looked up to Jolie. In fact, the Maleficent star happened to be Markle’s career idol.

The Suits alum was, reportedly, impressed by Jolie’s ability to combine her acting career with her activism. After all, Markle was interested in philanthropic work.

Meanwhile, there have been several rumors surrounding Markle and Jolie. In April, New Idea claimed that Markle and Jolie have a secret plan to take over Hollywood by working together.

But if the A-listers’ plan is a secret, it is surprising why a tabloid managed to get information about Jolie and Markle.

“It’s an open secret Meghan’s aspired to be like Ange for many years, just like she’s so in awe of Princess Diana. Meghan has so much respect for Ange and everything she’s achieved on a personal level as well as professionally. Her work for good causes and the UN speaks for itself, but Meghan marvels at how Angelina’s managed to balance this with a thriving box office career and raising six kids,” a source said.

Jolie, in return, is, allegedly, desperate to be friends with Markle. After all, she has always wanted to have a pal that she can relate to in Los Angeles.

Earlier this year, Heat claimed that Jolie and Jennifer Aniston were fighting over Markle.

“Both Jen and Ange want to spend time with Meghan and Harry once they are in LA. They're essentially arch-rivals again and they're both willing to fight for it. Pretty much [everyone in Hollywood] wants to befriend them, so it's not surprising Jen and Ange are planning to make a beeline for them,” a source said.

As of late, Jolie and Aniston have not yet publicly expressed their desire to work with Markle. And Prince Harry’s wife hasn’t also said anything about returning to acting.

Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the United States, they have been busy with other things. They are also unable to find permanent jobs because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Markle’s last acting gig was on Suits. And months ago, she lent her voice for Disney+ Elephant documentary.
