Meghan Markle Reportedly Questioned Queen Elizabeth’s Final Decision Regarding Prince Harry’s Title
Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth, allegedly, had a falling out due to the former’s outrageous demands.
While this claim has already been debunked, there are new reports saying that Markle didn’t always agree with Her Majesty.
In fact, the Duchess of Sussex, reportedly, questioned one of the monarch’s final decisions following her and Prince Harry’s Megxit.
Finding Freedom author, Omid Scobie said that Markle felt that stripping Prince Harry of his military appointments was unnecessary.
“As a retired serviceman, Harry would always be able to wear his medals, but no longer could he wear uniform as Captain-General of the Royal Marines, Honorary Air Force Commandant of the Royal Air Force Bas Honington, and honorary Commodore-in-Chief of the Royal Navy's Small Ships and Diving Operations. These roles had come to an end,” the source said.
A source also told the Scobie and Carolyn Durand that the queen’s decision had been a tough pill to swallow. And it was also one of the most painful things that Markle witnessed her husband go through.
Following the queen’s decision, the Duke of Sussex was granted permission to wear his uniform for the last time. While at the Mountbatten Music Festival, Prince Harry was, allegedly, heard saying that he was devastated.
Markle also, reportedly, told one of her friends that the queen’s decision was unnecessary.
“And it's not just taking something away from him, it's also that entire military veteran community. You can see how much he means to them, too. So why? The powers [of the institution] are unfortunately greater than me,” she reportedly said.
Meanwhile, Markle was recently slammed for, reportedly, firing back at the royals because she didn’t get her way. In the documentary Meghan and Harry: The New Revelations, royal expert Russel Myers talked about the time when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s realized that their wings were being clipped.
“Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were told they had to be brought within the confines of the Buckingham Palace machine. That is when they realized that their wings were being clipped. This meant they weren't actually going to realize the stardom they had set themselves up to be,” he said.
Myers also explained why Markle might have felt the need to air her side of the story via Finding Freedom.
“This book is basically trying to explain how Meghan approached the Royal Family and how she was dismayed at the easy criticism of everything she tried to do. She has been frustrated by the fact that she has not been able to give her side of the story. She has been frustrated that all sorts of stories have come out about her and she has not been able to answer back,” he said.
