Don Calma is up against Takumi in the upcoming episode of the anime. Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma Season 5, Episode 8 will explore a new theme as the BLUE Tournament continues. The next episode is titled The Missing Half of the Moon.

The official synopsis for Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma Season 5, Episode 8 is out. According to the synopsis, the next round features Takumi against Don Calma, who is one of the Underground chefs.

In Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma Season 5, Episode 8, the theme of the battle is to create amuse-bouche. However, the chefs need to work in teams. Isami is set to help Takumi during the contest. But, on the day of the contest, he doesn’t turn and Takumi gets worried about him.

The spoilers tease that Isami is kidnapped by the members of Don Calma’s gang. Now, Takumi is alone to prepare the dish. However, Soma appears and saves the day for Takumi. Will they be able to beat Don Calma and rescue Isami too?

Meanwhile, in the last episode, Sarge from the Noir and Soma fight it in a cooking battle. Soma has prepared the Yukihara-Style Midsummer Christmas Cake and Sarge has baked a Cluster-Bomb Cake for the round.

Soma’s cake is the one that people eat during Christmas and is made to look like a tree trunk. However, Soma has added firework shells. Soma manages to impress the judges who appreciate the shape of his cake.

One of the judges notes that the harmonious sweetness is blossoming within her mouth. Soma explains that he added Japanese yam to the batter that gives a slightly thicker and sweeter taste. For the cream, Soma added banana, tofu, soy milk and avocado. For the white cream, he added rice and for the brown one, he used cocoa powder.

Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma Season 5, Episode 8 will be broadcasting on Friday, Aug. 21, 2020. The episodes are available on Crunchyroll. The episodes are available in Japanese with English subtitles.
