Prince William, Kate Middleton Opted A Virtual School Visit Amid The Coronavirus Crisis
While Meghan and Prince Harry are isolating themselves in California, Prince William and Kate Middleton are trying to make their constituents feel better during the crisis.
Before they took their family to quarantine in Norfolk, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had visited an ambulance service. Last week, they also called up some hospitals to show their appreciation, and in one particular hospital, they offered their condolences when one of the doctors died due to COVID-19.
Now, Express UK reports that the couple is again doing their best to represent the royal family even as the UK is battling the coronavirus crisis. They have already expressed their desire to do so, albeit virtually. And that is exactly what they did when they opted to do a virtual visit and chat with the teachers and students from Casterton Primary Academy in Burnley.
Kate thanked the school, which remained open in order to cater to the children of NHS workers and staff. "To you and everyone who is in during this time, it must be such a relief for all the parents who are key workers to know that their children have the normality and structure." She acknowledges that it is not easy to be in this situation. The couple spent one hour talking with the children and their teachers, having lighthearted moments as the children showed the royal couple their drawings and even pictures of their parents.
A video of their exchange was posted on the official Instagram of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and it has garnered a lot of positive reactions from their followers.
Despite being in quarantine, the royal couple is really not letting it keep them from doing their duties. They even added someone new to their team. According to Harper's Bazaar, the couple just hired David Watkins.
Those familiar with the royal family will know that Watkins served as the former social media manager of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their Sussex Royal accounts. Now he will be running the Kensington Royal social media accounts.
Sussex Royal will now be inactive due to Harry and Meghan stepping down from their role as senior members of the royal family. But the account will not be deleted and will serve as an archive of their past projects and events They even posted a farewell message to all their 11.3 million followers.
Prince Harry and Meghan are reportedly preparing to launch their own brand, which will be called Archewell.
