Prince Harry and Meghan are in big trouble after buying their first-ever house as a couple. The news of the couple purchasing an overly expensive estate in the United States created some bad rap for them, as many Brits openly criticize them for spending millions.
The couple who before moving to the United States were living in the UK in the Frogmore estate. An estate, which was given to them by the Queen as a wedding gift.
Prince Harry and Meghan lived in Frogmore cottage for some time and even had the opportunity to bring up their son, Archie, in Frogmore for a few months.
But during the couple’s stay in Frogmore, renovations were made to the cottage. During the renovations, rumors of the couple planning to leave the royal family were also afloat.
The renovations being done in Frogmore during the planning period of what people call nowadays as ‘Megxit’ was continued despite it being very expensive. At that time, the couple leaving their royal duties were only a rumor but many of the British taxpayers are complaining that the renovations should have been halted.
Frogmore was fully renovated and cause the British taxpayers almost $3 million dollars. This gathered heavy criticism from the Brits and the royal household had to do an intervention.
Prince Harry and Meghan announced officially that they were stepping down from their senior royal duties a few months after it was revealed that the Frogmore cottage was fully renovated. The couple opted to fly to Canada and stay in an exclusive estate there that cost tens of thousands for the British taxpayers.
The Duke and Duchess recently purchased a $14.7 million dollar home located in Santa Barbara in California, this purchase has given the couple a bad rap.
According to insiders, the couple who has yet to pay back the British taxpayers they owe for the renovation of the Frogmore cottage are extremely happy with their new home. They believe it’s a good deal after the house was slashed down from $34 million dollars to its current price.
Now, royal experts believe that the couple may be evicted from Frogmore cottage. As of right now, the couple still has the right to occupy Frogmore cottage. But technically the cottage itself is not owned by the couple and that it belongs to the Royal Estate.
But with everything going on, people believe that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should be evicted considering that they already planted their roots in America, building their family there.
