In Call the Midwife season 9 episode 6, the Turners received alarming news from the Hong Kong Adoption Agency. Someone from May's past, Shelagh and Dr. Turner's adopted daughter, arrived in the UK and wanted to see the little girl.

The family needs to act accordingly to keep the adaption plans on track. May spent a lot of time with the Turners, and they helped her get used to life in Poplar. But, what will happen if someone from Hong Kong suddenly shows up? Will it cause a problem for the family and the adaption process?

As for what else is coming in Call the Midwife season 9 episode 6, there are some specific stories for Fred and Reggie, while Valerie tries to help a family member. As for Fred, he's been growing his large marrows for the Poplar Horticultural Show, but saddened when the event has been canceled.

Fred tries to reinstate it, so he asked Reggie and Valerie's help, but the latter refused to help him due to her responsibilities as a councilor and shop keeper. Meanwhile, Reggie agreed to help him, and when Sister Hilda steps in, the momentum starts to build.

Meanwhile, Valerie's cousin Maureen is pregnant. She hopes that her baby will be born on Thursday, which is the same date as her father and grandfather. She believes it will connect them, even though both men passed away. But the problem is her due date isn't so soon.

In another report, series creator Heidi Thomas told Radio Times that Call The Midwife season 9 will be dealing with different cases, including cancer, dementia, diphtheria, fistula, as well as homelessness. She also teased that the Turners comes under threat, while Lucille's romantic relationship will not run smoothly.

Thomas added the series will also contain a few pieces of advice, particularly about vaccinating your children. Call The Midwife season 9 sees the return of Diptheria. This is a serious and fatal disease that's specifically dangerous among children.
