The 10th-anniversary special deluxe edition of the late rapper Mac Miller's flare-up mixtape entitled 'K.I.D.S.' was released on Aug. 13 (Thursday). What adds up to its nostalgic sound is two brand-new songs called 'Back in the Day' and 'Ayye." As per Billboard, the two songs did not comprise the August 13, 2010 version of the mixtape.

The reimagined version of Miller's mixtape is produced under the umbrella of Rostrum Records was initially released on DatPiff back in April. Moreover, the revamped mixtape follows the posthumous album release of Miller in January entitled 'Circles.'

In a report by Pitch Fork, a vinyl edition of the bona fide 'K.I.D.S.' mixtape is on the works for distribution.

The deluxe edition bottles up eighteen records including the rapper's most well-loved pilot tracks: 'Kool-Aid & Frozen Pizza,' 'Knock Knock,' and 'Nikes on My Feet.' The distinct records perfectly sing of Miller's friendly and enlivening attitude that can be heard throughout the mixtape.

Part of Miller's rap verse says, "Too many people always thought I wouldn't ever do s--t/I'm ruinin' my life and I'll never get rich/ Forever I'm this, never goin' back/Don't fade to black, I 'ma stain the map/ Yeah, I'm changin' rap and my name is Mac/ Trust me, then I'm ready when the cameras flash/'Cause the boy got presents like Santa's bag" over a chill, bouncy beat."

Furthermore, the track 'Back in the Day' is reimagined in a more mellow version. It tells the rapper's journey towards earning a coveted spot in the hip hop music scene while being nostalgic about the time when nobody regarded his dream as authentic and convincing.

Miller backed his 'K.I.D.S.' mixtape a year after with 'Best Day Ever' and 'Blue Side Park' the same year.' The latest album mentioned hails Miller's first Billboard 200 spot since 1995. The latest before 'K.I.D.S.' is his January release called 'Circles.' According to People, the rapper's posthumous album was finished with the massive help of producer Jon Brion, who has been working with Miller before he passed away. To date, Miller's future posthumous album plans are still unknown.

The media release led to Miller's mother, Karen Reyes, to look back on his son's achievements. She posted a video clip of his late son on Instagram, earning the fans' sympathy. On the other hand, Rostrum Records paid tribute to Miller through their Twitter account.
