Prince Harry and Prince Charles never had a falling out even after the former decided to quit The Firm in January.

Tabloids have been saying that Prince Charles is furious with his son for leaving the royal family without informing them about his plans beforehand.

But in Finding Freedom, it was revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tried to talk to Queen Elizabeth before they announced their Megxit. However, the queen postponed their meeting to a later date and the Sussexes didn’t want to wait that much longer.

Also in the book, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand shared Prince Harry’s real reaction after he learned that Prince Charles tested positive for COVID-19.

“His father, who was 71 years old at the time and so more at risk for complications from the virus, had been out at public engagements until a couple of weeks earlier. Though doctors described the Prince of Wales as in 'good spirits' and his symptoms as mild, it was still enough to fill Harry with worry,” they said.

 After learning about his dad’s diagnosis, Prince Harry immediately called Prince Charles. And he also regularly checked on him until he was out of quarantine.

The Duke of Sussex also, reportedly, called Camilla nonstop while she was self-isolating for precaution. The Duchess of Cornwall didn’t test positive for the deadly virus.

Prince Harry has not publicly addressed his dad’s diagnosis because he was already in the United States then. But Prince William shared what it was like to hear that his dad got infected by the virus.

While speaking with BBC, the Duke of Cambridge said that there were fears because Prince Charles’ age puts him in grave risk.

“He fits the profile of somebody of the age he's at, which is you know fairly risky, and so I was a little bit worried... But my father has had many chest infections, colds, and things like that over the years, and so I thought to myself if anybody is going to be able to beat this it's going to be him,” he said.

According to sources, Prince William and Prince Harry started talking more regularly following their dad’s diagnosis. However, this is not to say that they have fixed all their issues.

In Finding Freedom, it was revealed that Prince William and Prince Harry’s fights started before the latter tied the knot with Markle.
