Baby Win Wilson has one quite of a momma!

Just a month after a 34-year-old American singer-dancer, Ciara popped her newborn from her belly. The “Level Up” singer kept her promise by dropping new music. Ciara draped her long hair down by releasing her collaboration with American songstress Ester Dean. The music release is titled ‘Rooted’ and was made known by Ciara on Aug 12 (Wednesday). Alongside with the enlivening track is an empowering music video that pays honors to Black heritage.

According to Hollywood Life, the music video and track’s words commemorate “Black excellence,” which the singer confidently sings about in her emancipating theme.

“All my songs come with melanin / Got the heart, got the soul like Harriet / A queen since she born, that was evident / That’s evidence, of Black evidence,” part of the lyrics sings.

The uplifting record also sings for Ciara’s plead to her beloved fans to continue fighting and marching towards achieving justice in George Floyd’s death and Breonna Taylor’s death. Both are unarmed members of the Black community who were killed by the armed forces of America. Specifically, Taylor was shot by several Louisville police officers who illegally entered her own apartment home without observing the “no-knock” search warrant. Ciara gave both the late Taylor and Floyd prominence on her distinct music video.

Moreover, Ciara and his other cameos raised their strong fists in concurrence with the established Black Lives Matter movement. What made the music video fascinating is that the ‘1, 2 Step’ singer went all through the shoot and filming while pregnant with her and Russel Wilson’s second offspring. In a piece of recent news, Ciara gave birth on July 23.

In a Billboard report, the proceeds of ‘Rooted’ will go through to the philanthropic organization Grantmakers for Girls of Color (G4GC). The committee focuses on cultivating funds to support girls of color in America.

‘Rooted’ comes after Ciara’s ‘Melanin’ track in 2019 that highlights the singer’s guest, namely, Lupita Nyong’o, City Girls, Ester Dean, and LaLa Anthony. The same year of ‘Melanin’s’ release, Ciara dropped her seventh studio album entitled ‘Beauty Marks.’ In an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone, Ciara revealed that the said album celebrates beautiful shades of various cultures, showcasing the inner and outer beauty of humankind.

Ciara confirmed the release of 'Rooted' hours before it was dropped by posting her and Wilson's photo on her belly. Her other children, Future Zahir Wilburn, and Sienna Wilson, also graced the music video.
