There have been tons of speculations surrounding Princess Eugenie’s reaction when Meghan Markle shared her pregnancy news at the former’s royal wedding.

In October 2018, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The wedding, which aired on select channels in the United Kingdom, showed Markle happily chatting with some members of the royal family.

Eagle-eyed royal experts and royal fans were convinced that Markle shared the news of her pregnancy at the chapel. Back then, there were claims that Princess Eugenie was upset with Markle.

But in the book Finding Freedom, Princess Eugenie’s real reaction to the issue has finally been revealed. According to a source, the royal told her friends that Markle should’ve waited after her wedding to share her pregnancy news.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter was also allegedly upset with Markle for stealing her thunder.

Before Markle joined the royal family, Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry were very close. In fact, they frequently hung out at bars and downed glasses of alcohol.

After Prince Harry and Markle’s relationship was made public, Princess Eugenie was reportedly one of the royals that welcomed her cousin’s wife into the royal fold.

According to the authors, Princess Eugenie told Prince Harry that she loved Markle. And she was so excited to know that the Duke of Sussex was finally going to settle down.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank also used to go on double dates with the Sussexes.

“Harry had always confided in his cousin when it came to the women in his life. Not only did he trust her implicitly, but friends say that she gives great advice and has always been 'beyond wise' for her years. It's not surprising, then, that Eugenie was one of the first in the family to know about his relationship with Meghan,” the authors said.

Today, it is unclear if Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie still talk to each other as often as they used to. After all, Princess Eugenie could still be upset with his cousin’s wife.

Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie also live thousands of miles away from each other. Prince Harry and Markle are currently residing in the United States, while Princess Eugenie is still in the United Kingdom.
