Katy Perry Explains Why She'll Be A Good Mom
Katy Perry is so excited to be a mom and talks about how good she's going to be as a mother.
The 'I Kissed A Girl' is expecting her first child with actor Orlando Bloom, who she has been dating since 2016. Glamour reports that because she claims to be the toughest bitch, her kids are always gonna get it straight. This quote came about in the most recent episode of the reality competition 'American Idol' where Katy serves as a judge along with Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
She was giving criticism to Kimmy Gabriela, who made it to the top 20 contestants. But Katy claims that despite having one of the best voices in the competition, she cannot remember Kimmy on stage. She told the 17-year old that it is not enough to just have a beautiful voice in order to stay in the competition.
Aside from talking about how she will be a mom, earlier this week, she also announced the gender of their future child. Posting on her Instagram a picture of her fiance Orlando with pink frosting all over his face, captioning the photo with "It's a girl." She is expected to give birth this coming summer. It will be her first child but the second for Bloom, who shares a son with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
According to The Daily Mail, the couple apparently already has a list of choices on what they will name their daughter. Perry plans to name their daughter after her grandmother, who unfortunately passes away just last month. Her grandmother's name is Ann Pearl Hudson, and she might choose any of those names for her kid.
Apparently, her grandmother is very close to her and was very influential in her life. A source close to the singer claims that it was her grandmother that made Katy the woman that she is today.
Orlando has been very supportive of Katy's pregnancy. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, she does not have any taping for her show. The couple spends their time at home where Katy spends time getting healthy. She not only takes walks with her future husband but has also been doing prenatal yoga. They are hopeful that by the time she is due to give birth, the pandemic would be over.
The couple lives in Los Angeles, California. The state has the fourth-highest number of positive cases in the country and everyone is asked to stay at home in hopes of slowing the spread of the virus.
